As part of this commitment to our customers, the Resilmount A237R Furring Channel Sound Isolation Clip recently underwent third-party testing by Intertek. To ensure the results reflected modern construction standards, we utilized an 18″ open web truss assembly, ensuring our data is applicable to your real-world projects.

The Results: Superior Sound Isolation in Action

The A237R delivered impressive performance metrics, particularly in mitigating the high-frequency impact noises that most commonly lead to occupant complaints.

HIIC is a rating used to measure how well floor and ceiling assemblies reduce loud, high-frequency noises such as dropped objects, footfalls and stomping, and heavy rolling equipment. The A237R’s recent testing shows impressive results, with an HIIC score of 63! In addition, the A237R demonstrated excellent STC and IIC ratings of 61 and 54, respectively, when used in the 18″ open web truss assembly.
