Resilmount® MBFR
The Resilmount MBFR is an engineered, patented adjustable acoustic resilient mounting bracket designed specifically for Studco furring channels. Engineered to drastically reduce both airborne and structure-borne vibration in internal wall applications, the MBFR is the premier choice for sound-critical environments.
At its core is a high-performance thermoplastic rubber compound that far outperforms standard rubber in sound absorption and energy dissipation. Suitable for CMU block, wood framing, steel studs, or poured concrete wall applications, the MBFR clip fits standard 7/8” and 1-1/2” furring channels. It allows for precise adjustment across four positions in 3/16” increments, eliminating the need for packers while creating a clean, acoustic-isolated cavity behind the furring channel for electrical and plumbing services. Resilmount® MBF
For standard direct-to-masonry and ceiling applications where acoustic isolation isn’t required, the Resilmount MBF BetaFix clip delivers unmatched installation speed and accuracy.
Once the MBF clip is securely anchored onto the wall or ceiling substrate, the furring channel simply snaps directly into the clip eliminating the need for any extra fasteners. Designed specifically for 25-gauge furring channels, the MBF features four pre-punched fixing hole locations that provide 0” to 3/4” of depth adjustment in 3/16” increments. Patent No. 5,720,460 and produced under an ISO 9001 quality control system, the MBF ensures consistent, reliable performance on every project.
Installation Guidelines
Space out the Resilmount Betafix MBFR clips a maximum of 48” on center along metal furring channels, keeping the channels spaced no more than 24” apart and perpendicular to the joists or studs. Fasten the bottom clips within 3” of the floor, adjusting lower if needed for baseboards. Hang drywall perpendicular to the channels, leaving a 1/4” gap around the entire perimeter to seal completely with acoustical caulk.
